Welcome to Jewitch

I have made a dozen blog projects over the years. I have never really  been happy with any of the platforms that I have hosted on with the  exception perhaps of Ghost. But then I got turned on to the Indie web. Through this I learned about  minimalist blogging through Markdown. It was around this time I stumbled  on to OMG.lol a fabulous little website and community founded by Adam  Newbold. This gentleman crafted a suite of different services that  really brought me back to the Halcyon Days of the Internet. Back when  Forums were king, and IRC and IM's were the communication style of  choice. 

I know that may not be for everyone, but for someone such as myself  who has become immensely disenchanted with not only the state of  internet discourse, but the social media landscape as a whole and how  toxic and vile it has been globally, it was a breath of fresh air. So I  began dabbling with the various services. Then I learned that Adam was  making Neato and I was fully  converted. I had been using BearBlog.dev and Pika.Page but if I could  stay in the ecosystem Adam was building I would be much happier.  Thus I signed up for the waiting list.  And I waited.  Patiently.  But I would be lying if I said I didn't want to scream out:

HURRY PLEASE! THE INTERNET NEEDS THIS!!!

Then one day I checked the site and noticed a rough Alpha was up and  we moved closer to full deployment. Now this is still in its alpha  phase, but Adam put the code up and I said to hell with waiting, I would  early adopt and when Neato fully launches I will move this all over  there. So here we are. It is an early alpha, but here we are. And I  couldn't be more excited for whats to come. A  simple site/blog  environment. No ads being pushed. Nothing being sold to you. Just a  place for you and I to come together and ideas and thoughts to be  shared.
